West Michigan is a great place to live and work, but like any community, it faces challenges. Fortunately, innovative leaders and organizations are making a real difference. Each year, the West Coast Leadership class has benefited from the insights of Scott Rumpsa—now, we’re inviting him to share that knowledge with all of us.

Big challenges require bold collaboration. As CEO of Community Action House, Scott will provide a high-level look at the latest trends shaping community needs in West Michigan. He’ll highlight real-world examples of organizations breaking down barriers and driving meaningful change through strategic partnerships and collective action.

By working together across sectors, communities are finding new ways to solve complex issues. This session will leave you inspired to seek fresh opportunities for collaboration—equipped with the tools to turn shared vision into lasting impact for everyone who calls our community home.

About Scott Rumpsa

CEO At Community Action House

Scott is a mission-oriented leader committed to driving innovation and excellence in the nonprofit sector. With an MBA and graduate studies in nonprofit management, Scott has over 15 years of senior leadership experience at entrepreneurial nonprofits.

Joining Community Action House in 2018 represented Scott’s return home to West Michigan, where he is committed to long-term community leadership & service. Over the past six years, Scott has spearheaded the transformation and expansion of Action House’s community work, launching ambitious new efforts, including their nationally recognized 'Food Club & Opportunity Hub' and the regional expansion of 'Lakeshore Food Rescue'.

Community Action House is a locally-founded, community-powered nonprofit, working towards a community where all of our neighbors have what they need to thrive, and no one faces challenges alone. Recognizing that families in deep need often struggle with a complex web of challenges, Action House combines healthy food access, street outreach, resource navigation, and financial empowerment - all in the context of relationships - to nourish, equip, and empower our neighbors.
