Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Champion II or III to join our plant in Holland, MI.
As a Continuous Improvement Champion, you will:
Identify and implement Haworth Management System (HMS) (Haworth equivalent of Toyota Production System [TPS]) principles and continuous improvement processes, training, facilitation, and assessment. Assures programs are of highest quality to ensure success of program. Process work will be required across every segment of value stream. This role will have a hyperfocus on the Casegood Value Stream. Casegoods is the future of growth for the Holland campus and has been identified as the ideal training ground for future North American Operations leaders.
Do you have these required qualifications?
- Continuous Improvement Champion III: 8 years production/operations/engineering experience, with demonstrated deployment of HMS/TPS type concepts that drive improvements in operationally excellent environment
- Continuous Improvement Champion II: Minimum 6 years experience with deployment of concepts that drive improvements in operationally excellent environment
- Exposure working with Total Business Management (TBM), Shingijitsu, Simpler, Toyota, Honda, and Shingo Award
- Ability to be regularly exposed to production environment
- Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, and at times for extended periods, up to 25% of time
- Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Ability to work and commute onsite daily to our headquarters in Holland, MI without relocation assistance
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Arts, engineering, industrial technology or equivalent
- 3 or more years leadership/management experience
- 10 or more years of experience working directly in a continuous improvement leadership role
- Strong communication across all levels of the organization
- Ability to conduct presentations to all levels of the organization
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
- Proven leader in successfully managing large numbers of people, projects, resources and complexity, achieving superior results
