Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Facilities Project Manager to join our team in Holland, MI.

 

As a Facilities Project Manager, you will:

 

Lead and coordinate facility-type projects, such as planning new construction, renovations, and modifications; utility and support system upgrades; and building code compliance.  Area of expertise include, but not limited to, design and engineering of facilities and related electrical and mechanical systems, construction/renovation and equipment procurement, construction methods and techniques, and maintenance.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, architecture, engineering, construction management, or related disciplines or equivalent.
  • Registered professional license (i.e., Professional Engineer [PE] license or American Institute of Architects [AIA] designation) preferred.
  • Ten years experience with facilities design, engineering, and/or construction methods and procedures, including experience working with various project delivery methods  (low-bid, Gross Maximum Profit [GMP]/construction at risk, or Integrated Project Delivery [IPD]).
  • Architectural design, corporate real estate, facilities engineering, and/or construction management supervisory/project leadership experience required.

OR

  • Master’s degree in management, real estate, architecture, engineering, construction management, or related disciplines or equivalent.
  • Eight years experience with facilities design, engineering, and/or construction methods and procedures, including experience working with various project delivery methods (low-bid, Gross Maximum Profit [GMP]/construction at risk, or Integrated Project Delivery [IPD]).
  • Architectural design, corporate real estate, facilities engineering, and/or construction management supervisory/project leadership experience required.

 

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems and analysis procedures.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to ensure deliverable and expectations meet customer requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of facilities electrical and mechanical functions necessary.
  • Knowledge of national and local building codes, federal and state safety standards, and Americans with Disability Act (ADA) compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, up to 15 percent of time.
  • PC and keyboard/mouse skills; working familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and project management software applications.
