The West Michigan Regional Medical Consortium (WMRMC) is a non-profit 501c3 organization that serves as the fiduciary for Region 6 and Region 7 Healthcare Coalitions, Region 6 Homeland security Grant Program, and the Medical Control Authority for Muskegon County, Michigan. We work closely with the state and other Medical Control Authorities (MCAs) to regulate and oversee emergency medical services (EMS) through implementing and monitoring protocols and improving patient care. Our goal has always been to provide the best medical support to our community through improving our EMS services and driving change. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Financial Manager to lead our finance operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Financial Manager will be responsible for managing the finances of WMRMC including maintaining financial records, generating financial reports, monitoring spending, managing payroll, and working with all departments on developing and following budgets. You will also oversee all transactions for risk and perform internal audits as needed to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain and organize all financial records for various departments and generate accurate monthly financial statements, including profit and loss reports
• Ensure compliance with company and grant guidelines for all expenditures and monitor federal, state, and local financial requirements to ensure proper reporting
• Reconcile receipts, shipping documents, and refunds with meticulous attention to detail
• Manage bank and credit card transactions, reconciling statements on a monthly basis
• Collaborate with departments to create and adhere to budgets
• Identify and report potential financial risks and conduct internal audits as needed
• Work with auditors to ensure accurate and timeline financial audits
• Present insightful monthly reports to relevant boards

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience (non-profit company experience preferred)
• Proficiency in Intuit Quickbooks
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and commitment to confidentiality
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various meeting sites
