Job Description | The full-time custodial position includes routine cleaning of residential and academic buildings. This is a first shift position, and start time can be negotiated at time of hire. Occasional overtime work may be required. Typical routine duties include but are not restricted to: dusting, mopping, sweeping, wet mopping, vacuuming, waxing, cleaning restrooms and showers, removing trash, polishing furniture, and simple operation/upkeep of custodial equipment. Other details include snow removal at door entries and furniture set ups in event spaces. |

Physical Demands | This position requires remaining in a sitting or position for frequent periods of time; sometimes includes crouching, bending, and having to work in confined spaces. This position often works in non-climate controlled spaces. Occasionally involves moving and lifting items over 25 pounds; frequently will move between different offices/workspaces/buildings; and requires effective communication abilities. In the case of temporary or permanent condition(s) that require(s) accommodation(s), reasonable accommodation(s) may be requested. |
