Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Holland, MI. This position will be onsite and working on the manufacturing side of the Corporate Headquarters.
As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will:
Independently support multiple internal customer group to develop and execute member relations strategies, programs, services, and solutions designed to enable company to successfully meet business needs. Function as both business partner and member advocate between management and members to interpret, administer, and implement corporate policies, procedures, and cultural initiatives. Work with management to ensure fair and consistent compliance with corporate policies, practices, and objectives. Viewed as leader on Human Resources Business Partner team, providing counsel and expertise to other members of the team.
Do you have these required qualifications?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial relations, human resources management, or equivalent area of study.
- Six plus years experience in Human Resources generalist, specialist or equivalent position providing expertise in variety of disciplines, including three plus years employee relations experience.
- Extensive experience counseling and coaching employees and managers at all levels, including Executive, in HR employee relations matters.
- Extensive experience with conducting workplace investigations, making recommendations to mitigate risk, and resolving workplace issues (problem resolution).
- Experience reviewing and/or evaluating candidates for selection and/or programs for appropriateness.
Do you have these preferred qualifications?
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is preferred.
- Professional experience working in manufacturing or construction.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment, and ability to maintain strict code of confidentiality and use of discretion.
- Excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills required.
- Proven track record of building positive working relationships with ability to influence at all levels of organization.
- Ability to flex approach and communication style appropriate for audience, including at C-Suite level.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to resolve complex member issues.
- Demonstrated high emotional intelligence skills to remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively.
- Mentoring and leadership skills.
- Good attention to detail to produce accurate work product with regards to SOPs, handbooks, discipline letters, reports, and other documentation.
- Must possess business acumen to ensure actions and expenses are aligned with business goals.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
- Ability to prioritize work and determine critical tasks.
- Ability to work as individual and/or as member of team.
- Mentoring and leadership skills.
- Ability to work with management, including executives, salaried exempt, salaried nonexempt, and hourly groups in office or production-type environment.
- PC and keyboard/mouse skills required, including working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
