Job Overview

 

We are currently looking for a Product Manager to join our team in Holland, MI.  

 

As a Product Manager, you will:

 

Plan and manage key segments of one of Haworth's product lines to assure successful design, engineering, production, introduction, marketing, and sale of profitable, quality products.  Through continuous review and analysis of product line, assures continued overall profitable growth and market position.

 

Some of the responsibilities may include (but not limited to): 

 

  • Manages product line segment and mix to maximize financial performance.
  • Defines market size, segmentation needs, and trends worldwide to fully support and promote product line.
  • Develops product strategy based on market and competitive data worldwide to ensure integration into corporate strategic plan.
  • Determines feature/function/benefit requirements to satisfy market needs and product strategy.
  • Defines product criteria, including aesthetics, color, and texture considerations, to satisfy customer requirements.  Coordinates, with Industrial Design, translation of these criteria into product concepts.
  • Defines short- and long-term product plans to maximize product line performance, in conjunction with all functional departments; coordinates resources of all functional departments in planning and developing products from concept to introduction to phase out.  Serves as project manager for new product development projects.
  • Determines product cost objective to maximize financial performance of product line.
  • Establishes product pricing to maximize product line performance. 

Do you have these required qualifications?

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or Marketing. 
  • 6 years Product Line Management including experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Experience with product innovation, portfolio development, concept strategy, market research and product execution.
  • Excellent Excel knowledge.
  • Excellent Communication; written and verbal. 
  • Ability to travel up to 15%.
  • Ability to bend/move/balance in manufacturing environment with ability to lift/move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

 

  • Experience in sales or marketing in furniture industry.
  • Experience with technical products like electrical.
