Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Production Planner/Detail Scheduler to support our Laminate Product Plant in Holland MI.  This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the success of the LPP plant and Haworth overall. The right candidate will have a desire to grow within the team and organization.


As a Production Planner/Detail Scheduler, you will:

Lead a specific corridor in our Laminate Product Plant, create a level and executable schedule, maintain and communicate capacity models as well as potential concerns, and communicate potential misses as well as recovery dates for misses. Interact with all facets of the company while also having the freedom to make and implement changes to help drive improvements throughout the facility. Perform all functions needed to ensure constraint optimization and availability to manufactured materials for assigned manufacturing site to support order fulfillment.  Manage inventory levels and allocation of manufactured materials according to customer demands and company objectives.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business
  • If no degree, 1 year of supply chain management, logistics, or business experience for year one year of education in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. 
  • 3 years’ experience in production planning and control, product modeling, or inventory and warehouse management.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Experience working in an electronics, automotive, or furniture manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • APICS certification.
  • Green Belt certification.
  • Experience working cross functionally, including supporting operations.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • A drive for continuous improvement.  
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills.
  • Root cause problem solving skills.
  • Elite mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of Just In Time (JIT) and Available To Promise (ATP) concepts, theory of constraints, and lean philosophy.
