Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Sales Order Scheduler to join our team in Holland, MI.  


As a Sales Order Scheduler, you will:

Reviews sales order scheduling exception workbenches to determine what actions must be taken with sales order to align to customer commitment dates.  Serves as point of contact for Haworth members for sales order scheduling and change requests.  Accountable for approving or denying sales order change requests and ensuring approved order changes are correctly entered, scheduled, and executed to meet customer commitments.


Some of the responsibilities may include:


  • Monitors new incoming orders and systems parameters to ensure customers’ expectations are met in alignment with Haworth Lead Time guide/bulletin.
  • Reviews all sales order change requests, including additions, deletions, and ship date movement, and decides appropriate action.  Consults with appropriate internal departments to determine viability of change request and if additional fees should be assessed for change.  Seeks clarification of order changes submitted with inadequate information.
  • Reviews sales order scheduling workbench exceptions to align commitment dates to meet customer expectations.
  • Reviews options with internal members regarding Haworth’s capability to meet requested sales order change.
  • Makes all necessary changes in Systems, Applications, Processes (SAP) system to ensure sales order changes are completed, scheduled to meet customer delivery requirements, and correctly shipped and invoiced.
  • Ensures all customer-related issues are resolved in timely, effective manner to meet customer’s satisfaction.
  • Expedites critical sales order changes through process to ensure visibility through supply chain.
  • Communicates information affecting customer orders, such as moving ship dates up/back and invoice requirements, to appropriate department members so appropriate actions are taken to accurately process customer orders.
  • Supports development and implementation of policy and procedural improvements to create positive customer experience.

Do you have these required qualifications?


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or Engineering plus 3 years of experience working in production planning, scheduling or commodity planning within a manufacturing environment. 
  • If no degree listed above, 11 years of experience working in production planning, scheduling or commodity planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?


  • Exposure to engineer to order and make to order manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience in electronics, automotive or furniture manufacturing industries.
  • Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:


  • Understanding of basic supply chain concepts.
  • Ability to solve problems effectively in fast-paced, continually changing environment.
  • Familiarity with following functions: Order Management, Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), Logistic Execution (LE), Global Available To Process (GATP), and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem solving skills required.
