Job Overview

 

We are currently looking for a Sales Support Project Strategist to join our team.

 

As a Sales Support Project Strategist, you will:

 

Link design, consulting, and research in tangible ways to create higher-value customer solutions. As integrator of knowledge and people across many of company business groups, serves as primary internal driver of final opportunity execution strategy.

 

Some of the responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

 

  • Synthesizes strategic overlaps of product, knowledge, and applications through constant engagement and immersion with cross-functional groups to increase customer attraction and retention.
  • Serves as bridge to internal and external resources of appropriate overlaps to further project strategy in response to customer business problems with concrete story or path to support profitable sales growth.
  • Compiles budgets for projects/requests, contributing to final project scope.  Assists members with identification of customer relevant needs to create solutions aligned with customer objectives.
  • Drives new strategies, leading experimentation, and early implementation to support Haworth Brand.
  • Leads client project interactions having cross-functional and cross-sector impact, while aligning with sales strategy, to enhance customer experience.
  • Links internal and external resources for learning and actionable relationships.  Establishes and leverages cross-functional network of internal/external contacts and expert resources within industry to support successful outcomes.  Seeks support to apply global view; supports primarily North America sales.
  • Connects and presents to all internal groups (i.e., Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Innovation) and selected dealers about new strategies/solutions, best practices, and learnings to streamline process and improve connections within organization to enhance sales enablement environment.
  • Manages internal and external alliances, leveraging broad business and industry-specific network of ‘resources’ to build capabilities for unique customer requests.
  • Tracks trends in marketplace to effectively communicate back to Haworth any short comings.  Trends would include but not limited to, manufacturing capabilities and restrictions, competitive product offerings and product gaps, product limitations, engagement strategies, new tools, etc. 
  • Provides mockup and strategic sales support for presentations as needed in person or via technology to provide technical assistance and support. 


Do you have these required qualifications?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Art, Journalism, Public Relations, Design, Engineering, Social Science, related field, or similar.
  • Eight years related experience with participation on successful project teams.  Experience may include project budget preparation, project management and writing content in support of customer requirements.
  • Ability to work in the US without sponsorship.

  • Ability to synthesize complex situations into streamlined content.
  • Ability to clarify end goals and communicate projected end results.
  • Ability to influence others with ability to cascade change through key stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify performance measures and critical milestones.
  • Communicates effectively and consistently (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to understand/translate objectives to other key business members.
  • Ability to plan, guide, and leverage resources.
  • Ability to build rapport and cooperative and collaborative relationships with customers, taking appropriate action to meet customer needs and concerns.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results; displays flexible mindset regarding project plan changes and updates with little notice.
  • Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment, including remote communication tools such as Bluescape and Teams.
  • Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, up to 35 percent of time, at times with very short notice.
