Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst II to join our team in Holland, MI.  This position will be eligible for a flexible work schedule which allows for work from home 1 or 2 days a week.


The position will provide critical support of US GAAP compliance and reporting for a 2 billion dollar global company, including complex accounting issues related to mergers and acquisitions, inter-company activity and eliminations, revenue recognition, and implementation of new accounting standards such as lease accounting and credit losses. This will be a high-visibility role with senior finance leadership including leading meetings concerning the review of key reserves and explanations of significant variances. Additionally, supporting the continued compliance with new accounting standards, such as the new lease accounting standard.

Do you have these required qualifications?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7 years of professional accounting, finance and analytical experience with progressively expanding duties.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

Do you have these preferred qualifications?

  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's in Science of Accounting (MSA) desired. 
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is strongly preferred. 
  • Experience with supporting manufacturing or corporate business groups.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills to gather, analyze and report data.

Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:

  • Strong accounting, analysis, problem solving and data gathering skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and collaborative skills.
  • Prior supervisory and project management experience.
  • Strong team player.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under minimal supervision.
  • Experience with US GAAP, including preparation of consolidated financial statements.
  • Experience with lease accounting and related software.
  • Experience with a financial statement audit. 
  • Experience with SAP (or similar ERP system).
