Senior Philanthropic Advisor

Senior Philanthropic Advisor
Hope College has announced an ambitious $1 Billion vision called Hope Forward and seeks to innovate and strengthen philanthropy engagement of alumni, friends and stakeholders to a “Best In Class” program. To further grow the success of the Philanthropy and Engagement Division, we seek one or two new Senior Philanthropic Advisors to complete the Philanthropy Team leadership. This is an unprecedented time for Hope College and a unique opportunity to join a talented development team that is writing the book on personalized and meaningful philanthropy.

The Senior Philanthropic Advisor (SPA) serves as the Chief Development Officer for initiatives, projects or entire divisions at Hope College. The position is considered a leadership position and has assigned direct fundraising responsibilities. The SPA reports to the Associate Vice President (AVP) in the Division of Philanthropy and Engagement.

- Assist in the on-going development of divisional campaign priorities in close collaboration with the Campaign Director.

- Seek out and maintain a fluency with the academic and programmatic funding priorities in order to effectively align priority needs with potential sources of external support. - Actively solicit major gifts and support as outlined in SPA metrics and consistent with a thoughtful “Personal and Meaningful” donor engagement strategy.
- Personally conduct and act in a manner that supports and promotes diversity, equity and inclusive excellence.
