Job Description


The Social Media Manager is a highly-motivated individual with experience and a passion for designing and implementing the Holland CVB’s content strategy, creating relevant content, and engaging and interacting with the discoverholland community. The Social Media Manager will implement the HACVB’s social media marketing on its various social media channels. Administration includes content strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic, engaging with followers, and measuring with analytics. This position is part-time.


Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of social media marketing experience
  • Demonstrated experience in social and digital media
  • Excellent writing and language skills
  • Knowledge of social media analytics software
  • Hands on experience in content management


Duties

  • Develop and manage Social Media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities:
  • Curate relevant content to reach the HACVB’s ideal audience
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, and written)
  • Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales
  • Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications and Creative Directors on design and creation while managing promotions and Social ad campaigns
  • Compile reports for management showing results
  • Become an advocate for the HACVB in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Demonstrate ability to map out a marketing strategy and drive that strategy by proven testing and metrics
  • Develop a strategy and implement a proactive process for capturing customer online reviews; monitor online ratings and respond accordingly
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the CVB
  • Analyze campaigns with Marketing and Communications and Creative Directors, and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the social media campaigns
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns; analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Maintain and expand social media channels, including: Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, and Pinterest.
  • Respond to social media inquiries, comments and mentions in a timely and courteous manner.
  • Engage with online audiences, including industry partners, using a blend of promotion, curation of user generated content and interaction.
  • Work closely with the manager of the Events Calendar in order to streamline social marketing of upcoming or active events in the Holland area.
