Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day tasks of the Purchasing Agents I and II.
• Create and maintain purchasing procedures to ensure attainment of customer requirements and consistency of processes and training within the purchasing team.
• Analyze current global events to determine their affect on Plascore’s supply chain and take risk mitigation action if necessary.
• Vet and audit critical suppliers to ensure a sustainable supply chain.
• Create and maintain material specifications to assist in resourcing projects.
• Evaluate supplier performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Negotiate annual supply agreements.
• Initiate cost savings programs.
• Work with engineering to ensure component design is the most cost effective.
• Participate in improving our product, processes equipment and methods.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
• 5-7 years of experience in purchasing
• Excellent organization, computer, communication, and technical skills are required with a high degree of accuracy

Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR Regulations. Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ('Green Card').
