Escape Ministries Announces New Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Escape Ministries is pleased to announce that Todd Krygsheld has accepted the position as Executive Director of Escape Ministries. Todd began his new role March 1, 2021. Todd brings to Escape a wealth of knowledge and experience as a ministry leader in West Michigan. Todd was most recently the Lead Chaplain at the Ottawa County Jail. He previously served as Chaplain and Campus Manager of the Men’s Ministry of Holland Rescue Mission, Director of the Rock Urban Youth Ministry, and Lead Pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church all in Holland. He holds a Master’s of Divinity degree from Western Theological Seminary and a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Education and Youth Ministry from Kuyper College. Todd has also been a Certified Trainer for Bridges Out of Poverty for over three years, taking a leadership position in promoting advancement opportunities and equity.

We are excited to have Todd leading Escape Ministries as he will be collaborating with our donors, local churches, and community partners to sustain and grow our programs and ministries. “Todd is uniquely qualified to lead Escape Ministries into a future of deeper and wider engagements with the youth and their families that we serve” said Kevin Kammeraad board chair at Escape Ministries. “We look forward to seeing Todd’s encouragement and positivity in working with our staff, who pour into those who are seeking a new direction in their lives.”

Todd began his new role effective March 1, 2021. “I am thrilled to begin this new journey with Escape Ministries as the Executive Director,” Todd explains. “I am excited to work with the board, staff, volunteers, schools, churches, businesses, and our community leaders with the goal of helping youth who are struggling. It would be my prayer that every young person and their family encounters the person of Jesus and his love, that students engage deeply in their schooling, and relationships that happen at Escape help youth discover and develop their talents and abilities. I am humbled to be a part of that.”

Escape Ministries is a non-profit organization dedicated to intervene in the lives of youth who fall between the cracks of community resources and help them successfully navigate to a positive life experience through Gospel-rooted relationships. With summer jobs, education, fitness, and mentoring programs, Escape connects youth with relationships, resources, and opportunities which empower all to thrive and discover their worth.
