You can attend the Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance 18th Summit on Race & Inclusion: “The Power of Belonging” on June 7 either in person at Hope College or virtually from wherever you are! All attendees will get access to any recordings after the Summit.
Keynote speaker Jon Covington will show his Muskegon-made documentary “Black Man” and discuss the film, along with some of the film’s subjects. Area author, Tracee N. Bruce will discuss her new book, “Systems That Shape(d) Black America” and a group of area youth will make up our 3rd Youth Voices Matter! Panel. We’ll also be joined by Rev. Dr. Denise Kingdom-Grier who will motivate with her discussion of her Freedom Fighters for the Future. Teresa Hendricks will discuss why justice for our farm workers is justice for all. Kim Nagy will tackle non-partisan voting issues. And, we’ll have discussions on creating inclusive business communities. Don’t miss the June 7 Summit!
