Latin Americans United for Progress Fiesta to return for the 60th annual Fiesta

HOLLAND, MI - Latin Americans United for Progress (LAUP) proudly presents Fiesta Week 2024, a dynamic celebration of Latinx culture, uniting Holland, MI from Monday, July 15th to Sunday, July 21st. LAUP is excited to be celebrating our 60th annual Fiesta!

Following the success of Fiesta Week 2023, LAUP is thrilled to announce our biggest Fiesta yet! This year's festivities will span a full week, packed with exciting events. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Grand Valley State University for their generous support as the title sponsor. Join us for an unforgettable celebration of Latinx culture and community spirit!

Fiesta will be spread out over a week, featuring daily events for all ages. Fiesta Week 2024 will offer a diverse range of cultural activities, authentic food, entertainment, car shows, and music.

The excitement kicks off on Monday at Fried Hemenway on the beautiful Hope College campus, featuring the screening of First Voice Generation. Screenings will be held at 2 pm, 4 pm, and 6pm, followed by a panel discussion after the 6 pm screening.

On Tuesday at 4 pm will be the first-ever LatinXperience Symposium hosted at the Civic Center Place sponsored by Grand Valley State University, followed by some great authentic Mexican food from Mezkla.

Wednesday morning, we will be back at the Farmers Market at 9:30 am until 11:30 am. Join us for a celebration of Latinx culture and kids’ activities.

On Thursday, LAUP will partner with Downtown Holland and participate in the Street Performers Series. Join us at the Splash Pad on 8th Street from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for an engaging array of Latin American entertainment.

Friday night, the celebration continues with a free concert at Kollen Park. From 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm local artists such as MexiCuba and Hector Estupiñan will provide outstanding entertainment that pairs perfectly with dinner from one of the featured food trucks on site.

On Saturday, July 20th, the Civic Center Place will come alive during LAUP Fiesta from noon to 11:30 pm. The event will showcase authentic Latinx experiences, community resources, and a wide variety of delicious food and beverages including an exclusive Fiesta beer provided by City Built Brewing Company.

We will end off the night with Los Palominos, DJ Two 3, MexiCuba, and Escoltas De La Sierra. VIP tickets are now officially sold out, but we still have general admission tickets available for purchase. Secure yours now before they're gone!

On Sunday, July 21st, we will end our Fiesta week by hosting a car show from 11 am until 4 pm at the Civic Center Place. Join us for beautiful cars, outside entertainment, and food trucks.

"We are excited to unveil the first-ever Fiesta week," said LAUP President/CEO, Johnny Rodriguez, "This celebration is not only a showcase of the enduring and dynamic Latinx culture but also a tribute to the enduring contributions of Latinos to the fabric of our society. We invite people from all backgrounds to come together and celebrate as one community.”
