Latin Americans United for Progress Fiesta to return to Civic Center for Fiesta Week 2023

HOLLAND, MI - Latin Americans United for Progress (LAUP) is thrilled to announce the return of Fiesta for Fiesta Week 2023, taking place from July 12th to July 15th.

Following the success of Fiesta 2022, which was organized under new leadership, LAUP is excited to host the biggest Fiesta yet.

For the first time ever, Fiesta will be spread out over a week, featuring daily events for all ages. Fiesta Week 2023 will offer a diverse range of cultural activities, authentic food, entertainment, car shows, and music.

The festivities will begin on Wednesday at 9am with a LAUP table at the Holland Farmers Market, featuring engaging and educational children's activities.

On Thursday, LAUP will partner with Holland Street Performs to host a Latin dance and singing event at GDK Garden on 8th Street from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

Friday, attendees can enjoy a concert at Kollen Park from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, featuring local artists Grupo Fierro playing in the traditional norteño style. Local food trucks will be available for a great experience.

On Saturday, July 15th, the Civic Center will come alive as LAUP Fiesta takes place from noon to 11:30pm. The event will showcase authentic Latino experiences, community resources, and a wide variety of delicious food. A car show featuring custom-built cars from all over West Michigan will lead up to the headliner performance by Grupo SuperNova and a baile.

LAUP Fiesta Week 2023 is expected to draw over 20,000 attendees, with well over 6,000 expected to attend the Civic Center on the 15th.

Thanks to title sponsor Grand Rapids Community College Lakeshore Campus, daytime events will be free all week. Tickets for the baile on Saturday night will be available for purchase at the door for a price of $15, as well as at the LAUP office in the weeks leading up to Fiesta for $10.
