Local travel professional Kim Kolean becomes an SNG Certified Accessible Travel Advocate and Certified Autism travel Professional

Kim Kolean, travel agent specializing in theme park destinations with She Plans Travel Co, a Holland, MI based boutique travel agency, recently received two special needs travel certifications. One from Special Needs Group, Inc, a global provider of special needs equipment for the travel industry, to specialize in special needs/accessible travel, and one from the The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards to become a Certified Autism Travel Specialist. To earn the distinction, Kim participated in Special Needs Group’s in-depth online certification program. Through the program, agents gain an understanding of the special needs/accessible travel market. They learn about the best equipment to rent for special needs travel, ways to market special needs/accessible travel, and more. To earn her IBCCES credentials, Kim completed continuing education hours that directly relate to autism and passed the Autism Travel Competency Exam.

One in 44 children has autism, one in seven persons has some form of disability and one in five families is touched by special needs.  As a special needs mom herself and an agent specializing in special needs/accessible travel, Kim has the ability to help this large percentage of the population travel in an enjoyable, safe, and efficient manner.

Kim has been an avid Disney-goer her entire life and joined She Plans Travel Co. in 2020. She visits Universal Studios Orlando, Walt Disney World Parks and Cruiselines frequently with her husband Brad and children Justin, Jennavieve, and Jaxon. Kim is active in the Holland/Zeeland Community and the OAISD.

To book a Florida destination vacation or cruise, whether it involves special needs individuals or others, you can find Kim at www.sheplanstravelco.com, or call 616-690-1678. You can find her on social media at She Plans Travel Co, Kim Kolean-Travel Advisor.
