Mosaic Counseling Honored With City of Holland's 2024 Social Justice Award in Education
Mosaic Counseling is honored to announce that we were recognized with the 2024 Social Justice Award in Education by the City of Holland's Human Relations Commission for bringing mental health awareness and support to school campuses across Ottawa County. Through our School Outreach Program, which provides mental health services free to the student and their family, directly inside of 27 schools across Ottawa County, we have provided mental health services to thousands of students since it's inception in 2012. At Mosaic Counseling, we believe that everyone, inclusive of all beliefs, backgrounds, and circumstances, should have the opportunity to receive therapy, and we are committed to helping remove all barriers that stand in the way of obtaining these vital services.
Executive Director Sarah Lewakowski accepted the award on behalf of Mosaic Counseling, joined by staff and board members. Lewakowski, who recently celebrated 20 years as Executive Director, has been instrumental in expanding the organization’s reach and impact. Under her leadership, Mosaic Counseling has grown from a small network of therapists to a robust panel of more than 260 licensed professionals as of January 2025, significantly enhancing the organization’s ability to fulfill its mission.
Social Justice Awards recognize individuals and organizations that exemplify the virtues of social justice by promoting equal opportunity and equal access for all residents in Housing, Education, Government/Community Relations, Health Services, Youth and Lifetime Achievement.
