Touchdowns for Kids: Kids’ Food Basket, LMCU and iHeart Media Team Up During High School Football Season
This fall, student athletes in West Michigan will be scoring Touchdowns for Kids! After last year’s inaugural success, LMCU and iHeart Media have teamed up again to raise funds for Kids’ Food Basket’s mission to nourish kids to reach their full potential.
Touchdowns for Kids is featured in partnership with 96.1 The Game and 107 MUS High School Game of the Week. For each touchdown scored during the featured games, LMCU will make a $50 donation to Kids’ Food Basket.
“LMCU is thrilled to again be teaming up with iHeart Media and Kids' Food Basket for Touchdowns for Kids during the 2023 High School Football season,” said Matt Cook, Vice President of Community Relations for LMCU. “Supporting this program connects LMCU and our passion for impact in a unique and meaningful way with the work of Kids’ Food Basket and high school athletics.”
Last year’s campaign raised $6,800 toward increasing access to the healthy food all kids need to thrive.
“No matter what side of the field we sit on, we can all agree that no child should have to experience food insecurity,” said Ashley Diersch, Vice President of Development at Kids’ Food Basket. “The energy and support that comes from Touchdowns for Kids and our partnership with LMCU is a victory for West Michigan kids.”
