Contractor encourages families, students to capture memories in front of digital sign

ZEELAND, Mich., (May 15, 2020) ̶ Town & Country Group has turned its new digital sign into a spotlight for Zeeland Public Schools' Class of 2020.

"The Class of 2020 has had to miss out on so many milestones, like prom, graduation, their final spring sports seasons. Really, they missed out on their time in the spotlight, said Doug Barense, Town & Country Group Operations Manager. "We want to give them the attention they deserve. We realize graduation might be rescheduled at a later date, but hopefully, this gives them a reason to smile for now."

The electrical, technologies, controls and security contractor is displaying names of 519 seniors from Zeeland East and Zeeland West 24 hours a day on its sign at 9327 Riley Street (Riley Street and Centennial Street). The sign features three names at a time and alternates between Zeeland East and Zeeland West students. It takes about 29 minutes for the names to cycle through.

"We've had a lot of people stop and take pictures. We've even had some seniors dress up and pose alongside the sign," said Bethany Stover, Town & Country Group Marketing Manager. "Our staff has gotten a big kick seeing the students excited when their name pops on the screen."

The sign will showcase Dux and Chix seniors until at least June 20.

"We want ZPS seniors to know we stand behind them and are so proud of their hard work," Barenes said. "We can't wait to see the wonderful things they will accomplish."
