Weekly Kids Activities at the Holland Farmers Market Begin This Wednesday, June 15

After a two-year hiatus due to Covid, the Holland Farmers Market is pleased to announce the return of the weekly Kids Activities beginning this week Wednesday, June 15! The Kids Activities are free to attend and begin with Market Story Time hosted by the Herrick District Library, followed by a fun, educational, and hands-on activity led by a local community partner. The Kids Activities are proudly sponsored by the Holland Farmers Market’s Community Outreach Partner AlignWell Chiropractic.  You can view a message from our sponsor here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yWPd25_ldE.

“AlignWell Chiropractic is beyond excited to sponsor the Kids Activities at the Holland Farmers Market this summer!” said Dr. Andrew White, owner and chief doctor at AlignWell Chiropractic. “Our office predominantly serves young families and pediatrics, so we love to help support amazing programs like the Kids Activities for families in our community.”

Each Wednesday from June 15 through August 17, families are invited to Market Story Time with the Herrick District Library beginning at 9:30 am, followed by a drop-in activity led by a local non-profit organization or business from 10:00 am until 11:30 am. The full schedule of activities can be found below and on the Market Kids Activities Facebook event page. Activities are free to attend, but a parent or guardian must remain onsite the entire time to supervise their children. Activities take place in the northwest parking lot outside of the Holland Civic Center Place.

Children are also invited to visit the AlignWell Chiropractic stall at the Market every Wednesday to pick up a Kids Produce Program coupon. Each coupon is valued at $1.00 and can be used at any participating vendor’s stall to put towards the purchase of fresh fruits or vegetables. The Kids Produce Program is a great way to introduce children to the concept of healthy eating by directly involving them in making food choices.
