Zeeland Board of Public Works Invites Community to Celebrate Public Power Week
Zeeland, MI, – The Zeeland Board of Public Works (BPW) is celebrating Public Power Week, Oct. 6-12, along with 2,000 other community-powered, not-for-profit electric utilities that collectively provide electricity to 49 million Americans.
Zeeland BPW invites community members to participate in Public Power Week through a variety of ways, including a coloring contest for elementary students in 1st-4th grade.
Zeeland BPW will also be hosting an open-house event on Thursday, October 10 from 4-7pm at the Zeeland BPW offices located at 350 E. Washington Avenue. This family-friendly event offers an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of being a public power utility, activities for the whole family, photo opportunities, and complimentary goodies. We look forward to bringing the community together and sharing what makes our services unique.
