"My Impact Will Always Be Remembered"
The WHY statement above is the relentless motivator everyday to impact my client relationships, community members, and most of all my family. I enjoy being a connector within the community and use my platform to elevate people and businesses personally, professionally, and financially.
My work locally on the Lakeshore is to bring value through creative solutions to everyday "what ifs". These "what if's" traditionally come in the form of planning financially for the future of families and closely held businesses. Instead of just focusing on the numbers, my desire is to understand what money means to you and build an effective plan that allows for clarity, and true financial independence.
Specialties Include:
Wealth and Investment Management
Employee Retention Strategies
Business Succession and Buy-Sell Funding
Education Funding
Retirement Distribution Planning
Life, Disability, and Long Term Care Insurance Planning
You would also find me facilitating the local Ottawa County Guys Who Give Chapter - a local philanthropic organization designed as a catalyst to give to those in need within the community.
When I am not face to face with clients, or out in the community my passions are playing hockey and golf and above all to make memories traveling with my beautiful wife Ashley, and sons Smith and Brooks.

With 15 years experience in the Real Estate business across various companies, I learned that to develop a great business I first had to have a good relationship with my community, based on honesty, customer service, and efficiency.
I started my Real Estate career during the market crash in 2007, it was a difficult time, however it taught me invaluable lessons, which have allowed me to help more than 400 families become homeowners.
I knew since the first week of my career as a realtor that I aspired to open my own independent realty company. Now I know that wasn’t the right moment, because to be a principal broker I needed experience, and discipline. 15 years of hard work, dedication, and perseverance later, I successfully opened UBeHome Real Estate, and became the only minority-owned real estate company on the lakeshore.

Utilizing support from other professionals is a must. I have been in the maintenance/construction/facility arena for over 40 years. During that time I managed F&M Departments, Major projects, Equipment Installations, Overhauls and much more with great success, but I didn't do it alone. Recently, I took a step back from overseeing major long term projects to focus my efforts to assist with all areas of Construction, Maintenance and Management of Facilities. I am at a point in my career where I desire to pass on the knowledge I have gained over the years. My direction is to support clients through consulting, evaluating, training and building upon the foundation they have established in their company. I am open to having a conversation to see if I can assist you personally or direct you on to others who can. Continue to strive for greater things.

Tanglewood winery is a farm to Table local winery that specializes in Michigan Fruit Wine.
Since our start, we’ve devoted ourselves to developing the richest Holland, Michigan made handcrafted fruit, dessert, and port wines that can be offered. Every fruit is different, but one thing holds true. In every respect, more fruit does make a better wine.

The heart behind ej&co really goes back to our desire is to be involved with and support small businesses. A few years ago, I noticed business owners struggling to find the perfect way to thank their customers, clients and employees. They could grab a typical bouquet of flowers, a bottle of wine or even a cellophane wrapped fruit basket... but they had a hard time finding anything more unique and personal for their clients. Something that didn't require taking an entire day and ten stores only to return everything and end up back at the flower shop, that is.
With that, Emma Jo & Co. was born.
From the thoughtfully selected small business goods, to the custom gift box layouts, to the beautiful packaging... we've got you covered for all your gifting needs.
When I'm not in the studio I can be found chasing my baby girl + toddler tornado little boy around, chatting business ideas at a local coffee shop with a friend or working on my latest home DIY project. I can usually be spotted in a baseball cap and worn out jeans holding a cup of luke warm coffee that i've been trying to finish for the last five hours.
