The first ever 3-hour summit will focus on Inclusivity and how we are stronger when we learn and grow together. Regardless of race, age, gender, ability, background, profession, and beyond, we each bring a unique and valuable perspective. Our vision is to ensure that our community is a vibrant place to live, work and play. And for our community to achieve its true potential, we believe every citizen must be included in these conversations that contribute to our shared prosperity.
This challenging, yet highly energizing event will inspire us all to actively work towards a better understanding of one another, participate in constructive dialogue, and commit to actions which produce a more inclusive community and economy.
Attendees will have the opportunity to actively participate in this dynamic, multi-platform, interactive summit which features local speakers, panels, and media formats with the goal of achieving unity, equity, and accessibility that we all desire.
Featured Speakers
Robert Heath, Sr., Legacy Leadership Consulting Group
Avoiding the Intention Trap
Diversity and Inclusion is supposed to be about bringing people together, but the conversations surrounding it are literally tearing companies and communities apart. Robert's presentation is designed to help teams build the skills required to have the conversations and do the work that is necessary to secure their businesses against the myriad of factors that threaten the bottom line each day and to ensure a future where all parties can be more engaged, more productive, and most importantly, more profitable.
Chris Klein, AAC Presenter & Owner of "Lessons From the Big Toe"
Embracing Constraints
Everybody has some type of daily constraint or difference that sets them apart from everyone else. Constraints are viewed as a barrier or road block to having success. But what if just the opposite was true? Chris Klein was born with cerebral palsy and has had to learn to type with his big toe in order to communicate. He will lead us through some great insights on AAC communication and lessons he has learned while overcoming the barriers of a disability.
