Holland Ice Park Ribbon Cutting
The City of Holland is thrilled to invite the community to the grand opening celebration of the new Holland Ice Park, taking place on Friday, November 14 at 2:00 PM. This highly anticipated event marks the debut of Holland’s newest outdoor winter attraction, located at the edge of Window on the Waterfront Park on 6th Street between Central and College Avenue in the heart of Downtown Holland.
The grand opening celebration will feature remarks from city officials, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the opportunity to explore the new facility before the first public skating session begins that evening. Open skate kicks off at 6:00 PM, offering residents and visitors their first chance to enjoy the park’s skating ribbon, ice pond, and dedicated curling sheet.
The Ice Park was made possible in part by a generous $1 million donation from the late Frank Kraai, a beloved local teacher and community advocate whose vision for accessible, family-friendly recreation inspired the project.
All public open skate and curling sessions require tickets to be purchased in advance online at hollandrecreation.com. Tickets will not be sold on-site.
The Holland Ice Park will be open Tuesday through Sunday from November 14 through March 15, weather permitting.
