Village Inn Pizza Expands in Holland, Bringing a Local Legacy to the North Side

A familiar West Michigan favorite is growing. Village Inn Pizza is expanding its Holland presence with the transformation of Kelly’s on Butternut Drive into Village Inn North—marking the first expansion of the Village Inn Pizza brand since 1987. 

Local businesswoman Tina Pietrangelo, owner of Village Inn locations in Holland and Grand Rapids as well as Kelly’s Sports Grill, saw an opportunity to bring the Village Inn experience to families, neighbors and sports fans on Holland’s north side. Her ownership of the three restaurants is also reflected in her professional background.

The expansion is about more than adding another restaurant. For Pietrangelo and the team, it is an investment in the community they call home. A Holland High School graduate, Pietrangelo has longstanding ties to the area and serves on the boards of Boys & Girls Club and LAUP, with previous board service supporting Ready for School and Escape Ministries. That commitment continues through the restaurants, including support for many local High Schools in the area. In fact, all Pietrangelo’s children attended and graduated from the West Ottawa School System.

The story of Village Inn North is a fitting one for Holland: a local neighborhood pub becoming the newest home of a longstanding local tradition. Guests can expect the same menu and recipes that have brought people together at Village Inn for generations, along with favorite specials such as Buy One, Get One Free Burrito Mondays.

For Pietrangelo and the Village Inn team, the goal is simple: preserve everything the community loves about Village Inn while creating another gathering place where families, friends, teams, and neighbors can share a meal, celebrate a win and make memories together.
