Estimated Start: Fall 2026 Semester

Reports to: Electric Production Engineer

Job Summary: Assists the Electric Production Engineer in a variety of engineering- related functions.


Essential Duties:

Work involves assisting all aspects of electric power generation including;

  • Equipment maintenance
  • Developing bid packages
  • Conducting economic analyses of proposed projects
  • Upgrading or modifying various plant equipment including valves, pumps, turbines, generators, fans, bearings, electrical circuits, control systems, chemical systems
  • Construction projects

This is an excellent co-op opportunity to learn and gain real world experience in the field of Electric Power Engineering.


Essential Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree Program for Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in the use of computer applications
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Must maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License
  • Must be 18 years old


Employment will be contingent upon favorable results of a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screening. Given our safety-sensitive industry, our workplace is alcohol and drug free (including marijuana and THC items).
