JOB PURPOSE

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling WMT’s services in accordance with established sales policies and procedures, and in pursuit of the Company’s goals and objectives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Drive volume and margin growth within a core set of customers

• Meet with Supervisor 1:1 Monthly to review targets and goals

• Track, Trace and manage shipments within your book of business daily and monthly

• Proactively provide customer service to ensure shipments are on time for delivery and on time for pickup.

• Monitor and ensure shippers KPIS are being met, while delivering on superior customer service

• Assist in billing with our accounting department and routinely communicate with accounting for past dues and stay ahead of problem accounts.

• Collaborating with internal team members in a team-oriented environment.

• Onboard new carriers to handle shipping lanes for our customers

• Book shipments with our partner carriers and ensure all information is correct and accurate.

• Set appointments at shippers and receivers and relay this information to our partner carriers.

• Responsible for issue and conflict management with customers, execute on improved service plans set forth by Sales Development Rep and or Leadership.

• Maintain a weekly schedule to stay organized which will include : 1:1’s, account reviews.

• Will transition to take on quoting for all accounts near tail end of Tenure in Account Manager to Senior Account Manager.

SUPPORTING DUTIES TO THE CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Understanding and utilizing current Logistics trends and projections in the Freight Brokerage market

• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

• Competitive nature with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Possess organizational skills in a detail-oriented setting

• Team player with ability to multi-task in a results-driven environment

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

• MS Office Skills and related computer knowledge

• Preferred 1-3 years of Account Management experience or relevant experience

• Preferred 1-3 years of customer service experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Skills with computers: Emailing, MS office, Excel, etc.

• Ability to make phone calls each day and utilize technology suite of products for customers and internal operations.

• Build relationships through phone and email with shippers

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Standard office environment, 40 hours per week in office, usually indoors away from the elements with moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential jon functions
