Having grown our operations and impact significantly, we’re excited to be recruiting for a new

leader - a Director of Operations & Technology - to lead the evolution of our administration

operations with a focus on logistics, facilities, and technology. Our ideal candidate will be able to

bridge between these operational areas, investing in relationships while setting a trajectory for

the future.


The Director of Operations and Technology provides strategic and operational leadership for the

organization’s facilities, logistics/fleet operations, information technology systems, and

commercial tenant relationships. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining the

infrastructure, systems, vendor partnerships, and operational processes that support

organizational safety, scalability, effectiveness and mission impact across all sites. The Director of


Operations partners closely with organizational leaders to strengthen operational performance,

improve organizational efficiency, and ensure reliable systems and environments.

Responsibilities & Essential Duties


Operational Leadership & Strategy

- Design, implement, and continuously improve operational systems, workflows, and

infrastructure that support organizational growth and mission impact.

- Establish and maintain systems that promote consistent execution, accountability,

communication, and cross-functional collaboration.

- Lead operational planning efforts in partnership with department leaders to align resources,

systems, and organizational priorities.

- Define and monitor operational performance indicators, budgets, project timelines, and

strategic objectives; prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.

- Identify opportunities for organizational efficiency, process improvement, and operational

standardization.

- Lead implementation planning for operational initiatives, including establishing timelines,

accountability structures, and change management strategies.

- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of organizational operations

and strategic priorities.


Team Leadership & Collaboration

- Leads, manages, develops, and retains team members by charting an annual course of direction

and monitoring quarterly progress toward annual goals. This includes leading various meetings.

- Collaborate with supervisor, direct reports, and other teams to ensure flow of information and

success of key project outcomes.

- Facilitate effective communication and coordination across departments and operational

functions.

- Partner with organizational leaders to communicate and implement operational changes and

improvements.


Facilities & Property Management

- Oversee maintenance, management, safety, and improvement of organizational facilities across

multiple locations.

- Ensure facilities are safe, functional, welcoming, and compliant with applicable regulations and

organizational standards.

Including working alongside the Director(s) of Program to ensure facilities are meeting the

needs of programs.

- In partnership with Logistics and Facilities Manager, manage facility maintenance vendors,

service contracts, inspections, facility alert systems, and preventative maintenance programs.

- Oversee facility-related capital improvement planning and support long-term facility

sustainability efforts. Including office utilization, future site planning and operational scaling.

- Ensure successful execution of facility projects within approved scope, budget, and timelines.

- Manage relationships with commercial tenants, including communication, issue resolution, and

coordination of property-related needs.

- Develop and maintain emergency response coordination, continuity planning and disaster

recovery coordination.

- Work in partnership with the finance team to oversee major purchases requiring bid process

within vendor procurement policy.


Logistics & Fleet Operations

- Oversee organizational logistics and fleet operations, including compliance, safety,

maintenance coordination, and operational readiness. Including working alongside the

- Director(s) of Program/Resale to ensure the fleet is meeting the needs of supported

departments.

- Develop, implement, and evaluate logistics-related policies, procedures, and best practices.

- Ensure compliance with applicable transportation, licensing, and safety regulations.

Support efficient utilization and stewardship of organizational fleet assets.


Information Technology & Systems Oversight

- Oversee organizational technology systems, infrastructure, and vendor relationships.

- Evaluation of internal vs. outsourcing for staff IT support functions in conjunction with

organization headcount growth.

- Ensure reliability, security, and effective performance of organizational technology systems,

including networking, phone systems, hardware, software, and enterprise platforms.

- Oversee administration and optimization of organizational platforms (currently Google

- Workspace, Monday.com, some functions within Office 365 etc.).

- Coordinate technology support, troubleshooting, upgrades, cybersecurity practices, and

system improvements in partnership with external providers.

- Develop and implement technology strategies that support organizational operations,

productivity, and future growth.

- Support data security, access management, and technology-related policy development.

- Knowledge management leadership: Establish and enforce company-wide data governance

and information architecture; collaborate with department heads to roll out master folder

structures, utilizing AI-assisted classification tools to streamline file migration, reduce data

redundancy, and maximize searchability.


Vendor, Contract & Risk Management

- Select, negotiate, and manage external vendors, contractors, consultants, and service providers

related to operational functions.

- Analyze organizational operational support needs and recommend external resources or

solutions as appropriate.

- Monitor operational budgets, vendor costs, and contract performance; address budget

variances proactively and transparently.

- Ensure operational compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

- Support organizational risk management efforts related to facilities, operations, safety, and

technology systems.


Policy & Procedure Development

- Develop, implement, and maintain operational policies, procedures, standards, and best

practices related to facilities, logistics, technology, safety, and administration.

- Ensure workplace safety policies, trainings, postings, and operational practices are maintained

and compliant with organizational and regulatory requirements.


Education & Experience


8+ years of relevant experience required in either operations, project management, fleet

management, technology oversight, or role-related experience, ideally while managing a

department or overall operations

3+ years of supervisory experience required

Bachelor's Degree required.; or in place of a degree, equivalent years of experience

Basic conversational Spanish proficiency desired

Valid CDL-B driver’s license (or ability to obtain)

- Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change within a growing

organization.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects on time

and on specification.

- Tech savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software deployments and managing

relationships with software vendors.

- Experience in both Google Suite & Microsoft Office products.
