Part- Time AM Preschool Lead Teacher
Job Summary:
Hamilton Community Schools is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead Teacher to join our thriving preschool program. Reports To: Preschool and Before & After School Coordinator
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Job Description:
- Provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate instruction for 3-4-year-old children.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and the community through effective communication.
- Plan and implement an engaging curriculum.
- Help monitor attendance, child and staff records, and ensure compliance with licensing rules.
- Assist and guide staff members working in the preschool program.
- Facilitate/lead small group learning activities
- Lead and actively participate in large group learning activities
- Support students in the preschool classroom who require additional support
- Keep consistent, up-to-date documentation and data on student progress.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Preschool and Before & After School Coordinator
Salary: 0.5 FTE, 180 days ($18,240 Base)

Minimum Qualifications:
- Have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Strong foundation in early childhood education with a CDA credential
- CPR and first aid certified for infants, children, and adults or willing to obtain certification
- Must maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Have a caring, patient, flexible demeanor
- Regular, predictable attendance
- Must have strong communication skills
- Able to handle day-to-day operations and address parent, child, and staff issues
- Willing to work outside in various weather conditions
- Must receive, background check, and additional onboarding training requirements as required by LARA.
