Job Description

The Philanthropy Systems & Analytics Coordinator provides division-wide reporting and data services within Slate for Advancement, including data pulls, report creation, dashboard maintenance, and support for digital giving platforms. This role supports the delivery of accurate, timely analytics to advance the strategic plan, Campaign 2030, and broader divisional priorities, as well as inter-divisional training efforts. Operating within a developing systems environment, the Coordinator must be comfortable taking initiative, navigating ambiguity, and proactively building, testing, and refining processes over time.

Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy Systems & Analytics, the Coordinator helps design and maintain systems and tools that empower Philanthropy and Engagement staff and campus partners to effectively use data in support of campaign and institutional priorities. In addition to analytics responsibilities, this role contributes to operational continuity by providing backup support across the division, including gift processing and event-related CRM functions.

Reporting & Analytics Support

  • Build and maintain Slate reports, queries, datasets, forms and dashboards as directed.
  • Support recurring and ad hoc reporting for philanthropy and engagement initiatives, including giving, email outreach effectiveness, events, volunteer activity, reunion programs, and campaign benchmarks.
  • Assist in preparing data summaries and visualizations for divisional and campus partners.
  • Help ensure reporting tools are structured for ease of retrieval and usability across teams.
     

Data Integrity & Systems Assistance

  • Partner with Philanthropy Services to maintain accurate reporting fields and datasets.
  • Identify discrepancies and assist with corrective updates as needed.
  • Serve as one of the division’s campus partner liaisons for data strategy, utilization, and accessibility, ensuring alignment with the College’s strategic plan and Campaign 2030 priorities.
  • Help maintain and design training materials for Slate Users, and provide 1:1 training sessions as needed.
     

Operational Continuity & Cross-Training

  • Provide general backup support across the Philanthropy Services team as needed, including the Gift Processing team during high-volume periods or staff absences and supporting the Communications team for any communications running through Slate.
  • Assist in identifying time-saving practices and workflow improvements that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Support automation initiatives and process enhancements led by the Director.
  • Serves as backup for Director of Philanthropy Systems & Analytics.
     

Event Support

  • Support the event leads/areas with Slate configuration related to event creation, registration, attendance tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist with event data integrity and post-event analytics.
  • Help ensure event-related CRM processes are structured for efficiency and accurate reporting.
     

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in CRM systems, Advancement Services, or data analytics.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Effective relationship-building and communication skills
  • Commitment to ethical data management practices, including respect for constituent privacy and institutional data policies.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion and the ability to contribute to an inclusive workplace.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Slate for Advancement.
  • Experience in higher education or nonprofit fundraising.
     

Physical Demands

This position requires remaining in a sitting or standing position for frequent periods of time; uses office machinery such as a computers, printers, copy machines; Occasionally involves moving items over 10 pounds; frequently will move between different offices/workspaces/buildings; and requires effective communication abilities.
