Ottawa County Elections Team to Host Election Eve Briefing and Live Q & A

Virtual town hall will provide an early voting update and answer voter questions ahead of the August Primary

Ottawa County Elections will host a virtual Election Eve Briefing and Live Q & A on Monday, August 3, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., providing voters with information about what to expect ahead of the August 4 Primary Election.

Ottawa County Clerk Justin Roebuck and Elections Supervisor Katie Bard will share an update on preparations for Election Day, including an overview of voter participation and operations during the nine-day early voting period, which concludes Sunday, August 2.

The briefing will also cover what voters should know before heading to the polls, absentee ballot return options, voter registration, polling locations, election security safeguards, and the reporting of unofficial election results.

Participants will have an opportunity to ask questions directly of the Ottawa County Elections team throughout the live webinar.

“Voters deserve clear, accurate information about how our elections are conducted,” Roebuck said. “This briefing is an opportunity to walk through the process, share what voters can expect heading into Election Day, and answer any questions they may have about the process.”
