Bloomsburg, PA, USA—SEKISUI KYDEX, LLC, manufacturer of KYDEX® and ALLEN® Thermoplastics, has been awarded two grants from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that will support strategic infrastructure and sustainability investments at the company’s South Campus facility in Bloomsburg.

Through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, SEKISUI KYDEX will receive $1 million to advance a rail siding project designed to improve freight efficiency and strengthen the site’s long-term logistics capacity. In addition, the company has been awarded a $2.1 million grant through Pennsylvania’s Reducing Industrial Sector Emissions (RISE PA) program to support the installation of an on-site solar photovoltaic system at the South Campus facility.

Together, these investments reflect a shared focus between the Commonwealth and Pennsylvania manufacturers on strengthening industrial infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, and supporting responsible growth. The rail project reinforces supply chain resiliency and manufacturing competitiveness, while the RISE PA supports advances in solar installation, emissions reduction, and energy-efficiency goals.

Since establishing operations in Bloomsburg in 1987, SEKISUI KYDEX’s growth has been shaped by the commitment of its more than 300 team members, strong partnerships across its supply chain, and ongoing collaboration with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

“This support from the Commonwealth underscores the importance of manufacturing in Pennsylvania,” said Sean Stabler, Vice President of Innovation for SEKISUI KYDEX. “At SEKISUI KYDEX, our mission challenges us to innovate responsibly by balancing performance, quality, and environmental stewardship. These investments help us continue doing that in a thoughtful and practical way.”

SEKISUI KYDEX remains committed to investing in its people, its facilities, and its community. The company looks forward to sharing additional updates as these projects move forward and key milestones are reached.
