Briefly describe your process and timeline for adding new members:

We are always looking for and adding new members. We ask that people who join the committee plan to be involved for at least the rest of this year- through November/December. You can either choose to attend our next committee meeting to check it out, or you can meet with Rachel to get more information first. There will be an online form for you to fill out to add you to our volunteer database and you'll work with Rachel to get up-to-date on different resources to help you with your role.

What are the next steps for interested individuals?

Please email Rachel Dober that you're interested in learning more about the committee. We can schedule time to get coffee and I'll share more about the Alzheimer's Association and Walk and answer any questions. You can also attend our next committee member to check it out and meet other committee members.

Any additional information about the organization / community you would like prospects to know?

The money raised through the Walk to End Alzheimer's goes toward care, support, and research. We offer a variety of programs and services for people who are living with Alzheimer's and other types of dementia and their caregivers. This includes a local caregiver support group that meets in Holland and local community education programs. There is also a 24/7 helpline - 800-272-3900 - that people can call at anytime to ask questions and get assistance.
