The marketing and communications intern will play an active role on Lakeshore Advantage’s Engagement Team. They will assist the team in implementing the organization’s marketing and communications strategy. Join Lakeshore Advantage as an intern for an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on, professional experience in marketing, communications, investor engagement, and public relations. 

Responsibilities 

• Social media & digital communications:  
• Leverage monthly newsletter and other developed content for social media use. 
• Assist with authoring and editing content for the organization’s website. 
• Assist with monitoring and reporting analytics. 
• Research and report on industry best practices for digital communications. 
• Story-telling: 
• Capture and write long-form, feature-style stories on business leaders and entrepreneurs in the region. 
• Events: support execution and marketing of investor engagement events 
• Other Engagement Team duties as assigned. 

Required Skills 

• Enrolled and pursuing a degree in journalism, political science, communications, marketing, hospitality, or related field.  
• Ability to clearly communicate ideas and work collaboratively on a team. 
• Strong written and oral communication skills. 
• Personal or professional experience using Microsoft Office suite of applications, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn.
