Tommy's is looking for an Accountant to assist with accurate and expedient daily accounting functions for our corporately operated retail car wash stores (Tommy’s Express Operations, aka “TXO”), consisting of nearly 20 locations across 4 states with plans for heavy growth.

Position Responsibilities

• Record transactions into the general ledger
• Reconcile banking and credit card records monthly
• Perform A/R and A/P functions
• Assist with preparation of financial statements as needed
• Collect and organize data to support reporting needs
• Ensure efficiency and accuracy of records
• Help create and maintain internal controls process and support annual audits

Position Qualifications & Candidate Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• 1-3 years of experience within accounting, bookkeeping, etc.
• Strong customer and vendor relation skills
• Broad knowledge and exposure to all accounting functions
• Advanced knowledge working with QuickBooks online
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Process-oriented and strong collaborator
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Highly adaptable with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and operates primarily indoors with limited to no travel expectation.

To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, team member must be able to:

• Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions
• Frequently stand and work in a fast-paced environment where they will often be multitasking
• Able to move about inside the office to access standard office equipment, etc.
• Remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, alternating between sitting and standing
• Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as; keyboard, copy machine and printer
• Able to effectively communicate, listen, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself and exchange information
• Able to walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, climb steps, reach with hands, use hands to fingers
