
Administrator
Position Summary: Responsible for the planning, coordinating and directing of the culture, regulatory operations, clinical programs, and financial operation of The Farmstead.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Protects, sustains, and cultures an environment that supports the overall mission of Resthaven.
- Oversees and administers an efficient, healthy and safe operation of facility and staff; informs team leaders of critical issues; implements and interprets all established policies and procedures.
- Maintains responsibility for the daily operations of The Farmstead in order to assure quality, efficiencies and delivery of care/services through performance improvement efforts. Coordinates QAPI efforts.
- Adheres to all state and federal regulations in preparation for initial licensing and annual survey and inspections in order to maintain licensure in good standing.
- Provides leadership in the development and implementation of The Farmstead’s objectives/goals, strategic planning and administrative policies and procedures.
- Supports marketing efforts to drive referrals to The Farmstead. Responsible for the coordination of sales meetings, follow up, contract signing, unit selections (in collaboration with Facilities), and move in coordinator.
- Coordinates events to support the development and sustenance of culture at The Farmstead through public relations efforts, advertising and community development and education goals to increase census, community awareness, partnerships and relationships.
- Prepares the annual budget for The Farmstead in collaboration with Finance for approval by the CEO/President. Maintains responsibility for monthly budget review and compliance, financial policies, accounting systems and cost controls.
- Provides leadership in the recruitment, selection and orientation/on-boarding process of new personnel. Collaborates with Human Resources in reviewing competitive wages, benefits and assures compliance with applicable employment laws and internal policies/procedures.
- Establishes operations indicators based on census and finances for staffing and directs implementation of improved work methods and procedures to ensure appropriate provision of care. Maintain census goals as compared to budget.
- Support departments in day-to-day operations when needed.
- Oversee room admission and discharge processes including inquiries, approvals and room readiness for timeliness of move-in’s and occupancy. Provide continuous improvement of facility décor and cleanliness.
- Reviews, investigates, develops plans and correction and monitors improvement of resident and family complaints.
- Review and approve employee payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Hold staff and team leader meetings on a consistent basis for improved communication.
- Risk management and safety policy/procedure development and compliance.
- Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
1. Appropriately represents Resthaven while attending or participating in organizational and community events.
2. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment.
- Computer literate and familiarity with Microsoft Office, experience with electronic medical records, etc.
- Communicates effectively and tactfully, while recognizing age, cultural orientation, needs, abilities and physical condition.
- Ability to display a sense of caring, concern, compassion and dignity for all residents and customers of Maple Woods.
- Ability to model the Resthaven Way including establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and employees.
- Well organized and attentive to detail.
- Ability to work independently, be self-motivated and manage time productively.
Education, Training, Experience:
1. A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably with a focus in healthcare administration, business management, or related field of study.
2. A minimum of three to five years’ experience in the senior adult living industry and experience working in accredited and regulated entities.
3. Actively participates in learning and development opportunities.
4. Attends all required training and meetings.

- Flexible schedule in order to meet the demands of the position, i.e., may require occasional evenings and week-end commitments.
