CTE Marketing and Student Recruitment Specialist

Job Summary:
Ottawa Area Intermediate School District (OAISD) in Holland, MI is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Marketing and Student Recruitment Specialist to help execute marketing efforts for Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming within the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District (OAISD) footprint. This includes, but is not limited to, Careerline Tech Center (CTC), futurePREP’d, Thompson M-TEC, and Work-Based Learning (WBL). This role serves as a collaborative thought partner and liaison between CTE programs and the OAISD Communications and Integrated Marketing team to ensure alignment with CTE needs and  district goals. The ideal candidate will bring recent, relevant marketing experience and a strong vision for elevating CTE in our region. This position collaborates with diverse stakeholders to promote CTE programs and opportunities throughout the OAISD service area.

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Serve as a liaison to the OAISD Communications and Integrated Marketing team by sharing CTE program information, providing input on priorities, and partnering to develop and implement marketing communications plans that reflect CTE-specific needs in a timely manner.
  • Produce and share engaging web and social media content, including copy, photos and videos, to reach prospective students, parents, and community members.
  • Use and adapt template marketing materials (e.g., brochures, flyers, presentations, and other promotional resources), ensuring all assets remain consistent with OAISD branding and accessibility standards.
  • Analyze marketing campaign performance data and adjust strategies to maximize student enrollment and program visibility.
  • Manage and execute all CTE student recruitment events
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including CTE Administrators and the OAISD Communications team, and external partners to ensure cohesive and consistent promotion of CTE activities.
  • Ensure all digital and electronic communications meet ADA accessibility standards and district branding guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in managing social media platforms and digital content creation.
  • Experience in student recruitment or educational marketing is preferred.

 

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to execute marketing tactics effectively and apply established comprehensive marketing strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in digital content creation
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with design software or other marketing content creation tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable marketing strategies.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment (computer, phone, printer, copier, etc.).
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting of materials up to 20 pounds.

 

Compensation and Details:

  • Pay: $60,480–$75,600
  • Schedule: Full-time, Year-round
  • Employee Group: Non-Union Salary
  • Benefits: Full benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. MPSERS provided retirement plan.
  • FLSA: Exempt
