Natron Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating multiple projects across diverse teams. Your primary focus will be on leading an engineering team to commission and launch new Sodium-ion battery technology, develop efficient processes, and ensure the timely completion of projects. 

As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in defining and implementing best-in-class equipment and processes for innovative battery cell and pack technologies. You will also be responsible for creating project budgets and overseeing their successful execution throughout the year. Collaborating closely with various teams, you will ensure that projects have clearly defined deliverables, are executed on schedule and within budget, maintain a high level of quality, and achieve organizational objectives.

Responsibilities:

Manage a team of engineers and oversee their work on various launch, production operations, and continuous improvement projects.

Develop and implement engineering strategies to commission equipment, demonstrate process capability, and achieve start-of-production timing and output goals.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project definition and execution.

Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful completion of all team assignments.

Balancing tactical near term and strategic long-term goals to ensure team has clarity of mission and a unified definition of success.

Create and implement policies and templates for engineering team procedures, such as: equipment specification documentation, equipment qualification templates, safe launch quality methods, process capability verification templates, and related launch and production procedures.

Develop professional and personal development plans for all direct reports, provide ongoing performance feedback through schedules 1on1s, and execute annual goals and performance reviews.

Conduct research and analysis to identify the latest trends in battery production technologies and methods.

Experience & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Extensive experience with multi-station automated assembly equipment.

Experience with industrial controls and robotics. Preferred experience with MES data collection systems.

Experience with laser welding, battery cell assembly, and battery pack assembly (or similar).

Experience in 24-hour manufacturing.

Experience with DFAM, PFMEA, Control Plan and similar methodologies and documentation.

Proven experience in engineering management or a similar leadership role.

Strong fabrication skills with the ability to design, build, and test prototypes.

Extensive experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and using 8D, 5-Why, Fish Bone, or other structure methodology.

Proficient in using SolidWorks or similar CAD software for mechanical design.

Proficiency in data analysis skills to interpret and draw insights from complex data sets.

Compensation/Pay Transparency

Disclaimer: The actual salary of a successful applicant may vary from posted ranges based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, internal equity and alignment with market data, and other legitimate business reasons, including, but not limited to, compliance with applicable immigration law prevailing wages.

In addition, Natron Energy has a strong benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k Plan with Match, Life Insurance, Parental Leave Benefits, Discretionary Time Off (DTO) and Paid Time Off (PTO) for Exempt and Non-Exempt employees respectively, and 11 paid holidays.

$133,500 - $180,500 a year
