JOB SUMMARY

Set up and operate flexographic printing presses from the simplest to the most complex jobs on any flexographic presses the company provides.

DUTIES

Sets up printing on die cutting stations and turn bars and stackers.

Mounts plates when necessary.

Retrieves stock for the run following the press run orders.

Operates Rewinder and numbering machines when necessary.

May assist the production manager with some duties when asked.

Plans run to achieve high efficiency rating (run time, scrap, and safety).

Takes stock inventory when necessary.

Mix and match inks to conform to order specifications.

Keeps accurate records of press runs to assure quality standards are maintained.

May assist in operating a digital printing press.

May perform other duties as required from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

Formal education requires high school diploma / GED plus 2 or more years operating flexographic presses showing a progression to 7 color runs. Will consider college graduate from Graphics school with no experience on the press.
