Hawkeye Kids Summer Site Supervisor

Job Summary:

Hamilton Community Schools is seeking an individual to serve as summer Hawkeye Kids summer site supervisor. The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program and assisting in providing a fun and engaging out-of-school time environment for students.

 

Location:  Blue Star Elementary

 

Reports To:

Preschool and Before & After School Coordinator

 

Job Description:

  • Supervise and support children
  • Plan activities for students to do during childcare hours
  • Provide guidance and supervision to other childcare staff
  • Communicate with parents on an ongoing basis to ensure appropriate paperwork, student information, and child concerns are addressed
  • Duties, as assigned by the Preschool and Before & After School Coordinator, related to childcare needs

Summer Hours:

  • Monday-Friday
  • 6:15 AM -6:00 PM (Maximum of 30 hours per week)

Hourly Rate: $25/hour

 

Start Date: June 10

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Must be 19 and have a GED/diploma
  • Early childhood or teaching certificate preferred
  • Must maintain a positive and professional attitude
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Have a caring, patient, flexible demeanor
  • Regular, predictable attendance
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must receive TB testing, background check, and additional onboarding training requirements
