IT Business Process Improvement Analyst - Hybrid (Holland, MI)

We are currently looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our team in Holland, MI. This is a hybrid position working minimum 3 days on-site per week.

  

As an IT Business Analyst, you will: 

Serve as a liaison between IT and business units, working to understand their needs and translate them into SAP configuration and process requirements. Contribute to the evaluation of system enhancements, new applications and IT developments, recommending system enhancements and alternatives. Collaborate with business leaders to define and improve processes, systems, metrics, performance, and best practices. Facilitate the gathering of requirements, definitions, proposals, and justifications for system enhancements. Plan and manages medium-sized projects and participates in major project teams. Drive the delivery of technology solutions to meet business needs and seeks to apply a global perspective. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for IT SAP projects and enhancements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and traceability.
  • Analyzing and optimizing end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, production planning, and logistics.
  • Configuring, maintaining, and optimizing SAP MM and PP modules.
  • Documenting "as-is" and "to-be" process flows, functional specifications, and configuration rationale.
  • Develop detailed functional design documents, outlining system functionality, data flows, and user interfaces to meet defined business requirements.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure proper implementation of functional designs and with testers to define test cases and ensure quality.
  • Develop training materials and deliver training to business users on new systems or enhancements.
  • Stay informed about relevant technology trends and best practices in business analysis and system implementation.
  • Contribute to IT project teams, providing business analysis expertise, and collaborating with project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements that can be facilitated by technology solutions. Understand all tools the company currently employs across all functions.

  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Management or relevant field of study
  • Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years of additional IT experience utilizing systems applications and/or experience supporting production planning or sales order scheduling OR 4 years of additional IT experience utilizing systems applications and/or experience supporting production planning or sales order scheduling if no post-secondary education
  • 2 years of additional IT experience utilizing systems applications and/or experience supporting production planning or sales order scheduling

Preferred Qualifications

  • ERP System Application Experience and certifications (focus on production planning and sales order scheduling modules highly desirable).
  • In-depth experience and strong understanding of SAP Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning (PP) capabilities.
  • Understanding of relevant modules including Quality Management, Sales and Distribution (SD), Fiance (FI), Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS). 
  • SAP S/4HANA experience.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  • ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) certification.
  • ISM (Institute for Supply Management) certification.
  • Manufacturing Industry experience.
  • Supply chain work experience.
  • Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex SAP issues.
