Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Leadership Development Facilitator/Instructor to join our team in Holland, MI at the Haworth Global Corporate Headquarters. 
 

As a Leadership Development Facilitator/Instructor, you will: 
Deliver, and develop when needed, interpersonal and leadership development programs to Haworth leaders, members, and dealers.  The ideal candidate will bring experience facilitating development courses to adult learners at all levels within an organization.  The key component of success in this position will be the ability to engage adult learners in a classroom setting as a facilitator of learning and not a presenter of information.  This position is primarily focused on the delivery of training versus the development/design of training. 

Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, organization development, education or equivalent. 
  • Education Equivalency:
    • Associate's degree in instructional technology, organization development, education or equivalent plus 2 years related experience or,
    • High school diploma plus 4 years related experience. 


Work Experience:

  • 2 years of full-time experience in adult-level learning, training, development, and delivery.

In addition:

  • Willing and able to travel up to 50 percent of the time (both international and domestic). 
  • Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Instructed/facilitated interpersonal skills or leadership training subjects. 
  • Certified in widely used membership development programs (examples include DiSC, Meyer Briggs, Business Acumen, Situational Leadership, etc.).
  • Use of ADDIE model in the development process. 
  • Project Management experience. 
  • Past or current leadership experience. 
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English). 

Essential Functions

  • Writes, researches, produces, and revises training materials in variety of media to support training programs.
  • Designs training programs which include instructional objectives, instructional content, and instructional methods and media to instructor and/or train both internal and external audiences.
  • Conducts needs and job analysis to determine appropriate training requirements.
  • Delivers training programs worldwide to members and/or customers, effectively coordinating variety of media, ensuring internal and external trainees accomplish learning objectives.
  • Evaluates effectiveness of training programs and ensures appropriate revisions are made, compiling reports to document value of training.
  • Manages program development and delivery efforts to ensure they are within budget and meet established quality standards.
  • Analyzes training department processes to recommend and implement improvements that improve quality, reduce program development time and costs, and better meet needs of Haworth’s customers.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job function with/without accommodation.
  • Ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent written, verbal, and platform skills.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, and training techniques.
  • Ability to provide classroom instruction and/or facilitation to various audiences ranging in class size of 6 to 200.
