Job Description
The Neuroscience Program at Hope College seeks applicants for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in neuroscience beginning by Fall 2026. Primary teaching responsibilities are in Introduction to Neuroscience (and associated labs), Functional Neuroanatomy (and associated labs), with the possibility of another course in the applicant's area of specialty. The expected teaching load is four lecture and/or lab courses per semester.
The Neuroscience Program at Hope College (https://hope.edu/academics/neuroscience/) is interdisciplinary and incorporates perspectives from biology, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, nursing, philosophy, and psychology. Students receive in depth training at multiple levels of neuroscience, including 1) the cellular/molecular level, 2) the systems-level and 3) the behavioral/cognitive level. We currently have 4 tenured/tenure-track faculty, 1 non-tenure track teaching faculty, and the Neuroscience Program continues to grow in student interest and excitement for the major.

Successful applicants will be required to hold a minimum of a master's degree in an appropriate field of academic study related to courses that need to be covered in Neuroscience.
