Position:  Part Time Secretary

Reports to:  Building Principal

 

Job Description: Hamilton Elementary is seeking an energetic, personable, team player with a servant’s heart to add to our team as a part time building secretary. Applicants must also be skilled at providing outstanding customer service in a fast paced environment in which interruptions are the norm and the ability to be flexible and multi-task is essential.  Please note that this position will work approximately 8:30-12:30, 5 days/week during the school year, plus one week prior to the start of the school year, and one week after the school year ends.

  • Highly organized and efficient.
  • A positive contributor, who is forward thinking.
  • An effective communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Self-directed and able to take initiative in day to day and crisis situations.
  • A creative, solution oriented, problem solver.
  • Comfortable providing medical intervention and ongoing medical support to students and staff members as needed.  (First Aid and CPR Certification is desired.  Training to support specific ongoing medical conditions, as well as the distribution of medications will be provided)
  • Knowledgeable regarding PC computer systems and Google Applications (Drive, Calendars, Docs, etc.)
  • Skilled in word processing (Microsoft Word, Google Docs) and spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
  • Proficient with data entry and management of various web-based databases such as PowerSchool (SchoolMessenger), MUNIS, MICR, FinalForms, RedRover, and Foxbright.
  • Experienced with payroll processing.
  • Able to respect the privacy of those within our school community and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Hours:  20 hours/week for approximately 38 weeks of the year

 

Rate of Pay: $18.50/hour

 

Working Conditions:  Hamilton Elementary is a Young Fives-4th grade building and home to approximately 380-400 elementary students, including 2 special education programs, and approximately 60 full/part-time staff members.
