POSITION: People and Culture Manager
REPORTS TO: President/COO
STATUS: At-will / Full Time / Salary + Benefits

Salary Range: $60k-$80k based upon experience

OVERVIEW:
The People & Culture Manager is responsible for supporting the leadership team at maintaining employee relations and cultivating an organizational culture that promotes productivity, creativity, innovation, and growth. The People & Culture Manager will work closely and collaboratively with ODC Network (ODC) leadership to implement operations, policies, strategies, and best practices that improve the workplace quality of ODC’s multiple divisions. Additionally, this position will support ODC leadership efforts to ensure employee satisfaction, and the development of robust talent management strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Culture/Administrative Resources

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive HR plan for the growth and development of the organization.
  • Maintain and carry out human resource functions of the organization, including but not limited to supporting team development, talent recruitment and retention, and salary and benefits administration.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee handbook and related organizational policies.
  • Act as liaison with ODC’s human resources legal counsel.

Collaboration

  • Support the continuing education and professional development of existing employees.
  • Support administrative staff and their efforts to carry out all relevant business management responsibilities of the organization.
  • Support ODC directors and managers by developing and managing the onboarding and offboarding policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ODC Network events and activities, occasionally requiring work outside of normal business hours

Communication

  • Communicate ODC culture goals through internal communications, staff meetings, and one-on-ones.
  • Supports initiatives to increase staff productivity, creativity, and innovation by developing and maintaining effective relationships with all levels of staff

Cooperation and Confidentiality

  • Maintain employee personnel files.
  • Oversee annual review process for all ODC employees.
  • Provide resources to resolve employee conflict.

All other duties as assigned by the CEO

Education / Experience / Requirements:

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in people management, social sciences, business administration, HR management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing HR-type issues and talent development.
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment law, human resource systems, and best practices including, but not limited to, COBRA, HIPPA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
  • Strong management, leadership, and team-building experience.

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree, SPHR or PHR
  • 5+ years of human resources or professional experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to occasionally lift to 50 pounds and walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time
  • Requires the ability to work outside in various weather conditions

Equipment Operated

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Google, and the operation of general office equipment.
