Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Principal Enterprise IT Architect to work for our Information Services Department. This position is a fully remote assignment.

As a Principal IT Architect you will be a:

Senior leader responsible for defining the overall technology vision and architecture strategy for Haworth Commercial Interiors and LD. Accountable for aligning business and IT strategies by developing enterprise architecture blueprints that support current and future business goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Creating multi-year roadmaps and plans to transition the organization's architecture to support business initiatives and reduce technical debt. This involves balancing stability, agility, and innovation.
  • Leading the architecture review board (ARB) to evaluate major projects for architectural compliance and identify opportunities for reuse, consolidation, and optimization.
  • Establishing reference and solution architectures for common domain capabilities like application integration, data management, cloud migration, security, and more. 
  • Advising executive leadership and business stakeholders on emerging technologies and how they can create strategic advantages or disrupt existing plans.
  • Managing a team of enterprise, solution, and domain architects to develop detailed models, views, and documentation of the enterprise architecture.
  • Collaborating closely with C-level executives and business leaders to align technology decisions with business objectives.
  • Overseeing architecture governance, standards, and processes to ensure consistency, reuse, quality, and security across the architecture.
  • Staying on top of industry trends and leading the organization through digital transformation initiatives and technology paradigm shifts. AI will be the initial transformation focus.
  • Communicating the enterprise architecture vision across the organization and ensuring stakeholders understand their role in achieving business and technology goals.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.

  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent in relevant field of study
  • Education Equivalency: Associate Degree plus 2 years additional IT Enterprise Architecture experience OR 4 years of additional IT Enterprise Architecture experience

Work Experience

  • 10 years IT Enterprise Architecture experience with Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 years IT Enterprise Architecture experience with Master's Degree

Additional Requirements

  • Applicant must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for the position
  • Travel up to 15% of the time, which could consist of traveling to HQ in Holland Michigan monthly for several days at a time
