Job Summary
We are currently looking for a Product Engineer to join our Tailored Solutions team on-site in Holland, MI.
Tailored Solutions (TS) is a strategic enabler for Haworth that unlocks sales volume that would otherwise not be available. About 12% of North American sales volumes comes through Tailored Solutions, and the prevailing conventional wisdom is that TS sales “pull through” an equivalent amount of standard product sales, which means we influence about 25% of the overall sales volume. We work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with a variety of dealers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners across a wide range of products. In this role, the member will execute designs (including CAD and BOM deliverables) for newly ordered Tailored Solutions. This fast pace and wide variety differentiate this role from more traditional engineering design roles within a standard product engineering function.
This position is directly supporting our Architectural Products (Walls) business unit. In this role, the member will respond to multiple requests per day for non-standard products, evaluate their feasibility, determine costs, and provide responses in support of project bids in a quick timeframe. This role will also support our Engineering Designer members to ensure high quality outputs that meet the design intent of the external customers. Eventually this member would be cross-trained to be able to execute the Engineering Design role for Architectural Products (Walls) Tailored Solutions.
